Classes

Look!  New Course dates for  June and July 2019!!

Please note, I've listed July before June!!!

'An Introduction to Fused Glass' :

This is a 2 hour beginners session learning the basics of cutting glass, assembling a piece ready for firing, details of a firing schedule and having some fun along the way. You will be making a tile or coaster of your own design. After the session I will fire it (a 24 hour firing) and it will be available for you to pick up at a later date, hopefully a few days after.

I have a large range of coloured glass in stock, and a multitude of materials to accentuate your glass to make it very special and individual.

Please bring an apron (or wear something not too smart!) and wear closed toe shoes.

The cost of the class is to make one coaster or tile but should you want to make more, time permitting, and you are very welcome to, but there will be an extra charge of £10 per item.

Different people work at different speeds and although the class states its 2 hours long, it can be extended if needed to finish your piece.

Small classes, maximum 4 people, age 14 to 114!

Price £45,  per session

Dates  for July:

Tues, 9 July 11- 1pm

Wed, 17 July, 7-9pm

Mon, 22 July 2-4pm

'Making Wavy Strip Dishes':

Again this is a 2 hour Beginners session to make Wavy Strip Dishes!

All the tuition needed in order to construct a Dish, finding inspiration from examples in the studio, or have fun designing your own and playing with colour. The size of the dishes will be approximately 15cm square.

A few hours on Pinterest can give you many ideas, sometimes too many!

If there is a particular design or method you wish to explore, please phone me to discuss this, to make sure that this is possible.

A huge range of coloured and patterned glass is available to you and you will have the opportunity to experiment with decals, frit, glass papers, glass paints and millefiore should you wish to do so as well.

Price £50*, per session

Dates:  Tues 4 June, 2-4pm

            Thurs 13 June, 11-1pm

            Weds 19 June, 7-9pm

            Thurs 27 June, 2-4pm

* A little more expensive, in order to cover extra glass and an extra firing to 'slump' the dish into a mold.

New dates coming soon for the rest of 2019

Important: Please wear closed toe shoes, and bring an apron if you wish. I have a supply of safety glasses, but should you wish, please bring your own.

Please Note: Whilst I am happy for you to take inspiration from my designs for the purpose of these classes, my designs are covered by copyright laws, and should not be copied for further gain or profit at a later date.
